Duncan Proposes $270 Million Title I Set Aside for Parental Involvement; ED Would Also Create Optional $145 Million Fund for Competitive Grants

WASHINGTON, May 7 — Funding for Title I family engagement activities would double to around $270 million in the coming year under a new plan proposed by U.S. Department of Education (ED) Secretary Arne Duncan.
