ED Incorporates Legislative Amendments Into SIG Requirements

Washington, Jan. 27 — The U.S. Department of Education (ED) last week amended the final requirements for the $3.5 billion Title I School Improvement Grant (SIG) program to incorporate recent legislative changes.

The revised requirements officially outline the participation criteria for schools made newly eligible by Congress and raise the maximum grant per school from $500,000 to $2 million.
