ED Unveils McKinney-Vento, Impact Aid Stimulus Guidance

Washington, April 13 — The U.S. Department of Education (ED) late Friday unveiled guidance for the stimulus funding for the McKinney-Vento homeless education and Impact Aid construction programs that was appropriated under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

The $69.2 million available to states under the McKinney-Vento (MV) program was allocated as one pot last week, based on states’ relative homeless child populations. States will subgrant the funds to their school districts.
