Report: ARRA Has Saved 250,000 Education Jobs So Far

Washington, Oct. 19 — At least 250,000 education jobs — mostly teaching positions —have been saved so far as a result of the stimulus, according to preliminary indications released today in a report by the White House Domestic Policy Council.

The estimates are based on the first batch of quarterly stimulus reports, which the Obama Administration was able to analyze long before their public release on Oct. 30.
