Title I Brief: ED Clarifies The Use of Stimulus Funds for Instructional Coaches in Targeted Assistance Schools

The U.S. Department of Education (ED) has clarified the extent to which supplemental Title I stimulus funds can be used to fund instructional coaches in targeted assistance schools.

The clarification resulted from confusing guidance issued by the department on April 1 that said Title I stimulus funds could be used to provide professional development to teachers in targeted assistance programs.
